Canac, a leading company in the transportation industry, is seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Truck Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Truck Driver at Canac, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our valued customers. We operate a fleet of modern and well-maintained trucks, providing you with the tools necessary to excel in your role.
Responsibilities:
Deliver products promptly and safely to customers’ locations
Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining on-time performance
Load and unload products from the truck using appropriate equipment
Ensure that all goods are securely strapped down and protected during transit
Perform routine inspections of the truck before and after each trip
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly
Collaborate with the dispatch team to optimize delivery routes and maximize efficiency
Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies throughout each trip
Requirements:
Possess a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Prior experience as a delivery truck driver or in a similar role is preferred
Familiarity with GPS navigation systems to efficiently navigate through routes
Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly
Able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining professionalism
Demonstrate excellent time-management skills for efficient route planning and adherence to schedules
Exceptional communication skills with fluency in English
Ability to legally work in Canada (visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates)
