As a Farm Worker, General, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our farm. You will be responsible for various tasks involved in crop production, including planting, cultivating, harvesting, and packaging. Your role will also involve maintaining and repairing farm equipment and machinery as needed.
Responsibilities:
Plant, cultivate, and harvest crops following established procedures
Operate farm equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
Inspect crops for quality and make adjustments as necessary
Sort, grade, and package harvested crops for distribution
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and comply with health and safety regulations
Assist with general farm duties as required
Requirements:
Prior experience working on a farm is preferred but not required
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons
A valid work visa or eligibility for visa sponsorship by Fraser Valley Packers Inc.
