Job Overview
Tending to bee colonies: monitor health, feed, treat for diseases, and split hives when necessary.
Assist in honey extraction processes ensuring efficiency and quality.
Maintain and repair apiary equipment as required.
Harvest and package honey and related products for sale.
Adhere to all safety and health regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
Job Responsibility
Regularly inspect bees and hives for diseases or pests.
Operate farm machinery and equipment.
Assist in the breeding of queen bees.
Report and document any irregularities in bee activity or hive conditions.
Work closely with the farm manager to implement pest management and disease prevention strategies.
Job Requirements
No formal education is required; however, previous farm or apiary experience is an asset.
Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat and cold.
Physically able to perform demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to changing roles.
